Meyers is a member of the Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Team at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics.  He received his medical degree from Ohio State University.  He completed both his internship and residency at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.  He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Meyers and his medical staff primarily treat patients with shoulder, elbow, and knee injuries.  His patients range in age from the younger athlete with traumatic sports injuries to the more mature with repetitive injuries. He also treats injured workers.

Dr. Meyers is active in the Arthroscopy Association of North America and previously served as President.  He has devoted much time to research that has resulted in numerous improvements in treatments and surgical techniques, especially for shoulder arthroscopy.

Dr. Meyers has a passion for sports and supporting young athletes.  He served as Head Physician for the XVII Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway.  He is an active member of the Virginia Special Olympics and currently serves on the Board of Directors. He has been the Team Physician at Randolph Macon College for over 30 years.

Dr. Meyers continues to provide his patients with expert orthopaedic care in the clinical setting. He also enjoys training the next generation of surgeons. He has served as the Fellowship Director of the Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine Fellowship with Orthopaedic Research of Virginia.  He has helped over 100 physicians improve their surgical and diagnostic skills. Dr. Meyers has been, “Elected by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America® from 1994 to 2016.” Dr. Meyers is married and has three children and five grandchildren.  In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, fishing and hanging out with his grandchildren!
